...Last Stop before Mickey!

Taken December 20, 2005 in Winter Park, FL.

One of the draws of this little enclave just north of Orlando is its beautiful downtown. Cobblestone streets, trendy shops, a very large park and for me, a neighbourhood Amtrak Station. This is but a mere whistle stop on the route from New York to Miami, however its presence in the midst of downtown is a reminder of how train travel can be integrated not only into the greater transit mesh of an area, but into the neighbourhood aesthetic as well.
